    Bring your baby and meet moms helping other moms with the guidance of a lactation consultant. We can determine the need for a private lactation consultation. This group is free to attend and no registration is needed.

  • Pumping Class Monday, Feb. 24, 3:15 - 4 p.m.

    A free class ideal for moms going back to work, exclusively pumping or with babies in the NICU.  Bring your pump to have a lactation consultant: Teach you how to use it. Share tips on how your pump can maximize your milk supply. Check your pump’s flanges. Classes are informal. Advance registration is not required; just walk-in. You can take this class prenatal or postpartum. Babies are welcome.

  • A Matter of Balance Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1 - 3 p.m.

    This free 8-week class helps older adults increase strength and balance, improve their environment and overcome their fear of falling. The class runs every Tuesday for eight weeks beginning February 25. Surveys show that 97 percent of participants increase their physical activity upon completion of the program.

    Hernias cause 3.6 million ambulatory care visits and 380,000 hospitalizations each year, according to the U.S. National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. ChristianaCare  will host a free hernia seminar to help you learn more about hernias and how they can be prevented and treated. Hernias occur when part of an internal organ or tissue bulges through a weak area between the muscles of the abdominal wall.
