This one day conference will review and identify both current and new pharmacological and clinical approaches to management of common conditions in primary, acute, and women’s and children’s health, with the goal of achieving safe prescribing practices and optimal clinical outcomes.
This course is intended for All providers, to include Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Primary Care, Specialty Physicians, Research Physicians, and Pharmacists.
At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants will:
- Examine current pharmacologic management to prevent and treat Diabetes, Hepatitis C, Osteoporosis, Clostridium Difficile, and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
- Articulate the advantages/disadvantages of pharmacotherapy in all populations including geriatric, pediatric, and transgender.
- Summarize pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic management of Allergy and Anaphylaxis, Acute on Chronic Pain, Opiate Use Disorder, and Pre-exposure Prophylaxis.
